How to Get Your Skin Ready for Spring

Getting your skin ready for spring

Guide to taking care of your skin from home

Exfoliate Weekly

When you exfoliate, you remove dead skin cells and reveal fresh, glowing skin. We suggest a mild, chemical-free exfoliator two to three times a week. Apply it to clean, dry skin and massage it over your face, neck, and décollete. Rinse it off and pay your face dry.

Moisturize, Moisturize, Moisturize

Moisturizing is essential, even if you have oily skin. It can improve your skin tone, smooth out fine lines and wrinkles, and brighten up your face. Make sure to apply a lightweight moisturizer with hyaluronic acid and dimethicone to freshly cleaned skin every evening and morning. You’ll find that your makeup glides on better and stays on all day long.

Use a Serum

A face serum is essentially a lightweight moisturizer. However, it penetrates deeper into the skin to deliver a higher concentration of active, nourishing ingredients. Since you want the serums to work their magic, you should apply it before your moisturizer and sunscreen. Fortunately, it absorbs quickly into your skin and can be used every morning and evening.

Don’t Forget Sunscreen

Even on cloudy days, apply sunscreen to your skin. Here’s why: Despite how thick the clouds look, up to 80% of the sun’s UV rays can still penetrate them. When you apply sunscreen every day, you reduce your risk for burns, early aging, and skin cancer. So get into the habit of incorporating sunscreen into your routine, regardless of the weather conditions.

Be Consistent

You can’t follow your skincare routine every once in a while and expect results. Be sure to make it a priority every day, morning and evening. The more consistent you are, the better your results will be. So get into the habit of taking care of your skin. After a while, it’ll come natural to you, just like brushing your teeth.
